MEDITECH and PrescribeIT to Enable Electronic Prescribing in Expanse EHR Within Canada

May 25, 2023 (CANTON, MA) — MEDITECH today announced they executed an agreement with Canada Health Infoway in April 2023 to connect with PrescribeIT®, a national e-prescribing service. This will enable prescribers in Canada to electronically transmit a prescription directly from the Expanse EHR to the patient’s pharmacy of choice.

The Ottawa Hospital is the first hospital in Canada to use PrescribeIT

May 16, 2023 (TORONTO) — Canada Health Infoway (Infoway) and The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) are pleased to share that TOH is the first hospital in Canada to launch PrescribeIT® through its Health Information System (HIS), making it available to approximately 2,500 prescribers.
